Labor Market & Career Information - Program Overview

The Labor Market and Career Information (LMCI) program strives to improve the way Texans make career and educational decisions by providing useful and reliable information about careers, educational training options and jobs. LMCI provides key economic data about occupations and in-demand industries along with information about labor market trends and economic conditions to help employers, economic development entities and local workforce development boards make informed choices. LMCI gathers and provides information on educational programs and training opportunities along with career planning and career development principles to help local workforce development boards evaluate current market trends in order to design and deliver services to businesses and job seekers.

On this page:

LMCI products and services help parents, young adults and children explore the world of career choices and opportunities; help counselors with effective career counseling; aid researchers in occupational and career related research; and enable job seekers to make the career choices that are right for them.

Each customer group can find the LMCI resources targeted for their needs:

Job seekers can find information about LMCI and more at Career Exploration & Trends. All groups can find more LMCI information and product descriptions at Labor Market Information.
